Best ski hut in Europe

Last Updated on 20th November 2020 by Steve

An Austrian ski hut has been voted the ‘best in Europe’ by readers of the leading German ski industry publication Skimagazin.

The Wedelhütte is in the middle of the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski area at 2350 metres above sea level.

The luxury hut with a chalet atmosphere is built in traditional style with natural materials. The chefs prepare fresh dishes to suit every taste, from superfood salad to the Wedelhütte Burger and the classic Kaiserschmarren made from spelt flour. Guests enjoy the far-reaching views of the three thousand metre peaks of the Zillertal Alps from the spacious sun terrace, while in the sunbed-area skiers can relax to good house tunes.

“We are very pleased with the results of the reader voting. It shows that we have got our finger on the pulse with our hut concept and offer everything that guests want for a great day’s skiing,” said Martha Schultz, co-owner of the Schultz Group.
